Hi, I'm Madison Chase, your trainer to the stars and the star in you, helping you be your very best every single day. So, the question for today is, how do you get slender thighs and how to tone your thighs? I'm going to show you two of my absolute favorite exercises that you could do anywhere with no weight and, or with weight. So, the first exercise, is a Sumo Squat. So, you want to make sure that your feet are wider than hip width apart. And you want to make sure again, that there's a vertical line from your knee to your ankle. If you're a dancer and you've done ballet, this is just second position plié, that's it. You can have your hands behind your head, at your waist, or out by your side or in front of you. So, that's our Sumo Squat. Now, if you want to make it more challenging, grab a weight. This is a ten pound dumbbell. Again, I'm going to rotate those shoulder blades back, use that tummy, squeeze those glutes. And all we're doing is just sitting back. And making sure that you're squeezing the glutes on the way down and on the way up. And you'll eventually start to feel that in your inner thighs. I'm going to show you what that looks like from the sides. Rotating those shoulder blades back, using that tummy, squeezing those glutes and you're sitting back. O.k., so, the next exercise is going to be a Side Lunge. So, your feet are going to be hip width apart and I'm going to drop the dumbbell. And all I want you to do, is you're going to sit back, I'm going to really use my right hamstring to pull me up. And that's it. So, this is your left side, let's go to the right side. Sitting back, you should be able to wiggle those toes and lift those toes up. So, in order to get slimmer thighs, you have to tone your entire leg. So, this exercise is specifically for your hamstrings, the Sumo Squat is for your inner thighs. So, if we're talking about reps and you're just getting started, eight to ten, if you're just getting started, 10 to 15, if you're intermediate. And if you're advanced, you could go 20 to 25.
