Hi. I'm Natalie Jill. Let's talk about a list of foods to alkalize the body. First, what does that mean? Alkalize is the opposite of acidic forming in the body. So, a natural pH balance level, which you want to strive for, is seven three five to seven four five. If you're higher than that, you're probably too alkaline and if you're lower than you're likely too acidic. A lot of dangers can happen in an acidic environment. So, choosing foods that are more alkaline will help balance that out. Now, a good rule of thumb is, typically, unprocessed, natural foods like fruits and vegetables, for the most part, are very alkalizing, there are some that are not but, for the most part, they are. Then, there's foods on the other extreme that are very acidic forming, like high fructose corn syrup, meats, anything made from corn products, bread, processed items like chips and junk food, very acidic forming. Also, alcohol and caffeine can be very acidic forming. So, if you have a diet that includes acidic forming foods, you want to help alkalize the body by eating a lot of natural fruits and vegetables to help balance that out. Some of my favorite ones to choose are cucumbers, apples, avocado, banana, most types of cabbage and lettuce, great to create an alkaline environment in the body.. Another easy way to do it is to take a lemon and add it to your water, it'll instantly alkalize your water, which will help balance out that pH balance.
