So in addition to following a healthy diet which is full of complex carbohydrates, fruits, and vegetables, lean meats, and healthy fats here's a few simple swaps you can make to make you look smarter today. First of all switch out honey for white sugar. honey has over 181 molecules in it that have all of the power to fight free radicals and inflammation. Another simple swap is switching kale or spinach for iceberg and while Iceberg's better than nothing the phytochemicals and the vitamin mineral potency in kale and spinach far outweigh it. Another easy swap at lunchtime would be to take out your lunchmeat and out of a can salmon salad. All fatty fishes are great sources of brain food because of the omega 2 fatty acids. And lastly swap out soda for Concord grape juice. Some studies have shown that the antioxidant potency of grape juice can do everything from boosting memory to fighting inflammation.
