Hi, I'm Juliet Kaska and this is how to do a front thigh stretch. The front of the thigh is also know as the quadricep which is made up of four different muscles. All four of these muscles play a very important part in both the support of the knee and the flexion of the hip. When these muscles are not equally strong and flexible, you'll be more prone to injury. So for your front thigh stretch you're going to use your left hand like a pillow like this and then you're going to use your right hand to reach around and grab your ankle. Come down onto your mat, bring the legs together, draw the abs in so your tailbone is tucking down. You don't want to sway into your lower back, take your left hand like I showed you and place it onto your forehead like a pillow but reach your right hand and grab onto your ankle and then we're going to hold there, pulling into the stretch. Our next thigh stretch is going to be taken from yoga and it's a more advanced move than the first one. Again you're going to try to keep the tailbone tucked under, the abs pulled in, you're going to reach around and grab both ankles at the same time from a flat position on your mat and then use your feet to press up into your hands and come up into what's called bow pose.
