Hi. My Josephine D'Alton, and I'm going to show you a couple of lower body moves you can use on the barre and to enhance curves. And, the purpose of enhancing curves is, obviously, to look more feminine. Now, the first exercise I'm going to show you is a plié squat and the plié squat is great for toning your thighs, your butt and also keep your nice abs flat. Okay. So, what we're going to do is you're going to stand about a little path, hip width apart and point a little bit outwards and you're going to squat straight down, while keeping your hip bones tucked under. And, then, you're going to come straight up, squeezing your gluts. When you squat down, make sure your knees do not track past your toes, keep your knees directly over your heels. And, when you come all the way to the top, squeeze your gluts in order to activate more glut fibers for a tighter booty. And, on the second exercise is a hip bridge. You're going to be laying down next to the barre. You're going to place your feet about 12 to 18 inches over the floor, placing your heels on the barre. Bring your butt about 12 inches from the barre and you're going to lift your hips up off the ground, pressing through your heels, while squeezing your gluts at the top. Come down slowly, before your butt touches the floor, come straight back up and repeat. I recommend doing three to four sets of 15 to 25 reps per exercise, that way you'll get a nice, toned glut.
