Hi, I'm Jay McLeod. Today, I'm going to show you how to work your triceps with stretch cords, okay? Stretch cords are great for really toning up your muscles. Also, if you're traveling and you know you won't make it to a gym, you throw your cords in your bag, and you're good to go. Okay, so, the first exercise I'm going to show you is the tricep extension -- standing tricep extensions, okay? So, I'm going to take one end of the cord and I'm going to step on it, okay? I place it under my heel. Take the opposite end -- the handle -- and I'm going to loop it behind my back, and I'm going to place my other hand over my right, okay? I keep my elbows in, because I really want to take my shoulders out the equation, okay? Shoulder work, tricep work, okay? I want to focus on my triceps, elbows close to my ears, okay? I'm going to exhale, I'm going to extend my hands over my head, okay? I'm going to inhale, slowly lower my arm by bending my elbows and dropping my hands head, really stretching out my triceps -- I stretch them, and I flex, okay? Stretch, flex, okay? Stretch, and contract. Now, the next exercise I'm going to show you is the tricep kickback, okay? With my band in my hands, okay, I'm going to step over with my right foot, I'm going to place the band right under the arch of my foot, okay? From here, I'm going to cross the band over, grip the ends right over the handles, okay? I'm going to stand up nice and tall, push my left leg back, opposite leg is back, and I'm going to lean forward from the waist, okay? Maintaining a flat back, elbows tucked in tight to my sides, I'm going to extend my arms to really work my triceps, okay? I'm going to inhale, pull my hands back to start position, okay, with the bend in my elbow about 90 degrees. Going to exhale, and I'm going to flex my arms back out, really squeezing, really working my tricep muscles.
