I'm Sara Holliday, and I'm going to demonstrate deep stretching for arms. If you have tension in your arms, then you are likely to have tension in other areas as well like into your neck and shoulders. So I'm going to demonstrate some deep stretching to help reduce tension in your arms and in your neck and shoulders. Extend your right arm high, bend your right elbow and bring your left hand over to your right elbow. Gently pull the right elbow with your left hand, tilt your hand up towards your right elbow and already you will feel a stretch into the back of your arm or the tricep and shoulder and if you want to take it a little bit deeper, press your right hip out to the side and you'll feel the stretch moving all the way up from the hip bone up to your right elbow and you can hold it here for about eight to ten deep breaths. After you've held it there for eight to ten deep breaths, gently come back up and take the right arm, bring it across your chest, use your left hand and gently pull the elbow towards you. You'll feel a stretch moving from the shoulder down to the fingertips of your right hand. If you want to stretch out your neck at the same time, bring your right ear over to your right shoulder and then take deep breaths all the way from your shoulder to your fingertips and from the crown of your head down your neck, about eight to ten deep breaths and then you will repeat the same thing on the other side.
