Hi, I'm Scott White. I'm going to talk about the differences between the stair stepper and the elliptical. The stair stepper is my personal favorite. It's an up and down motion just like walking up stairs. It's a great machine. The harder you work and keep those pedals from touching the ground, the more calories it's going to burn. If you want to get in great cardiovascular shape or just great shape by shedding pounds the stair stepper is one of my favorites. Cause you got to work hard to keep those pedals off the ground. The elliptical is a great machine. It's a very fluid motion, low stress on your joints. There's a few key points you want to remember. A lot of people are big fans of the elliptical machine so these are the key features. It's when you are working out you want to make sure your resistance is set fairly hard so you are challenged. You should be sweating. This is working out people. So when you are using the elliptical machine make sure your resistance is set at a level that you are going to be pushing. Because of the fluid motion you can make it a very easy exercise to do if you just don't put any resistance on it. Or you just kind of go through the motions. So be sure to set it at a decent resistance. Or have somebody show you. As well as make sure that incline is set at a nice height so you can keep that fluid motion going for a period of time.
