Hi, this is Chris Richard with Personal Pitcher and what is the equivalent to a triple-double in baseball? So a triple-double in basketball is double digits in one of the five categories. You've got point scoring, you've got rebounds, you've got assists, you've got blocked shots, you've got steals. There's a lot of categories in basketball to get a triple-double in and it's kind of difficult to kind of match that with baseball but from an offensive standpoint, you have to pretty much look at what is an outstanding game in baseball? A two run home run to me is an outstanding game in baseball but there's not that many of those hit. Babe Ruth had 72 of those in his career. Oscar Robertson on the other hand had 183 triple-doubles. So the ratios quite aren't right but eight total bases which is what two home runs in a game is is kind of equivalent to that and that allows also for lead off hitters that might not hit home runs but can hit doubles or triples to achieve that total base mark. So I believe eight total bases is a pretty good judgment as far as what is a triple-double. So what does that mean? So a single is worth one base, a double is worth two bases, a triple is worth three bases and a home run is worth four. So to get eight total bases you hit two triples that would be six plus a double, that's eight, there you go, you had an equivalent to a triple-double. So just real simple, just add up the total bases and have an outstanding game, get those eight total bases and you are in good shape.
