Hi, I'm Jay McLeod. Today, we're talking about mini workouts throughout the day for your metabolism. Now your metabolism is how your body converts food into energy. And how quickly it burns calories. But now I'm going to show you two exercises you can do throughout the day for a substantial boost to your metabolism ok. The first is going to be a squat press. Works your entire body ok. So I'm going to start off light dumbbells in hand. Feet shoulder width apart. I'll bring the weights up to my chest in a neutral position ok. Palms facing each other. I'm going to push my hips back and I'm going to make sure to keep my knees over my second and third toe. Hips come back, I drop into that squat. Now from here I'm going to explode up and I'm going to rotate my hands and fully extend them over my head ok. I'm going to turn my palms out. Okay, inhale, pull the weights back down on your shoulders. Drop low, push your hips back into that squat. Exhale and power it out. Okay. Really focus on doing about 12 to 15 to help with your metabolism. Help you burn some extra calories throughout the day. The next exercise you can try is going to be a dumbbell push-up row ok. Dumbbell push-up row. I've got my two dumbbells here ok. I get into a push-up position. This time my feet are as wide as my shoulders ok. Now I drop into that push-up by bending my elbows and lowering my body. Here, from here I press up and I'm going to pull, I'm going to pull my right dumbbell about to my hip ok. Keeping my elbows in close to my body here. Place it back down ok. Push-up then I'm going to row up with my left alternating sides.
