I'm Tiffany Anderson, and we're going to talk today about how to do a medicine ball hip raise. Well first you want to start with just the hip raise without a medicine ball. Start with building your bridge. You're going to lay down on the floor with your back to the floor, your head resting on the floor, your knees are bent and your feet are on the floor. Lift your core up and hold. Once you have done that, you can replace under your feet with a five pound cap weight. This is a platform that you'll use to get ready to do the medicine ball lift. With this platform, place your feet on the platform, lift your back and hold with your core. Begin to pulse which will get you ready for the medicine ball. Finally replace the platform with the medicine ball. You're going to place your feet on the medicine ball, lift up with your core. The hard part is stabilizing your feet. So once those feet are stabilized, then you'll be ready to do the pulse.
