Hi, I'm Michael Carson, here to show you how to build drive through your ankles and legs. Now the best way to do it is through plyometric exercises. Jumping exercise that actually make your body compress and then extend and explode in energy. And that explosion and energy uses the tendon strength and it's quick fast twitch fiber contractions that make your ankles actually get stronger. And get better at changing your body's direction. If you are a basketball player, a tennis player, or a baseball player you know the importance of lateral movement. But when you are always in the running position you can only strengthen so much. Plyometrics gives you that extra edge, that extra force that will build the muscles and the tendonous strength in your legs and ankles for drive. One great plyometric movement is the side lunge plyometric move. When you do this you are actually focusing on driving through the hips, ankles and the legs at the same time. Creating a better force to move laterally. If you are a tennis player, basketball player, baseball player you are going to thank me for the strength this creates. Plyometric jumping forward and back is great but this is going to give you that edge that you need.
