Hey guys. My name's Danielle Wechsler, and today I'm going to show you how to do a basic cheer. Any general cheer routine focuses on motion, stability, stunting, jumping and tumbling. This next exercise helps with your tumbling skills and flexibility as a bridge. You're going to lay with your back flat and, as you push up, extend through your shoulders and reach out through your legs. Focus on stretching here for about 30 seconds. Next exercise is a step up with a high V. Whether you're a base or a flyer, you can all benefit from this exercise. Grab a chair or a ledge and bring one foot onto that ledge. As you step up through your front foot, bring your back to knee, squeeze your core to stabilize and hit that high V motion. Now, to work your total body and improve your strength for tumbling and jumping is a burpee with a side to side squat. Do your regular burpee and, as you come back to the middle, jump to the right side then, in a squat, jump to the left side, bend in a squat, that completes one rep. Do this ten times.
