I'm Beth Hoover, and today I'm going to show you how to put a resistance band on the foot. The resistance band is a great way to add resistance to the lower body. Today, I'm going to show you how to put the band on and I'm going to show you two different exercises. Today, we're going to use a circle resistance band. We're going to start by putting it on the foot and bringing it around both ankles making sure the padding is on the side of the feet. This is a great way to work the glute muscles. We're going to step out and in, out and in. This is one exercise you can perform and you can also perform a traveling move where you take a step to each side. The second exercise we're going to work the back of the leg which is the hamstring. You're just going to take one foot and pick it up and then place it down on top of the band so that the band is secure. You're going to take the opposite leg with the band around the ankle and perform what's called a leg curl. Both of these exercises are a great way to add resistance to the lower body and increase your endurance and strength.
