Hi, I'm Chris Richard with Personal Pitcher and this is how to get better at batting as a kid in baseball. Well to hit the ball consistently you need to practice and he needs about 200 swings a day in order to get repetition down, that muscle memory, and that strength needed to get better. So you got to be dedicated, 200 swings will probably take you about a 1/2 hour. In order to do that you need to get a tee and a catch net and you could also use a personal pitcher, it's a pitching machine that shoots out little Wiffle golf balls. That's gonna allow you to get your timing down, get your repetition in and its safe you can use it in your backyard or your garage. So you need about 200 swings a day to get better. You have to be dedicated. A lot of it has to do with your balance, your hand speed, your hand eye coordination, and practice. You just got to practice and find out what kind of player you're gonna be. The other part is the mental part. You got to be relaxed, you got to have confidence, and you have to be able to visualize the pitch you want to hit. You got to get a good pitch to hit to be successful so start visualizing those good pitches to hit. Be prepared in the on-deck circle so when you get into the game and you're facing that pitcher you already felt like you were there.
