I'm Morris Brossette, and this is the advantages of compression shorts. Alright compression shorts. There's a lot of hype about these things. What they do, what they don't do. I'm going to actually walk you through the two things that we know that compression shorts are beneficial for. Anytime you run, if you lift weights, if you cycle, any sort of activity that involves the lower extremities you have the tendency to get blood clotting. Especially if you do an exercise session and then you're like most individuals and you go sit for your job. So the benefit of compression shorts is it provides a gradient compression from the lower extremity up. So basically what that means is it's, it's tighter down here then it is at the top. So it's forcing blood flow back up to the heart and therefore reintroducing healthy nutrient rich oxygen rich blood back into the lower body. So even though we're not exercising anymore we're not moving we still have that increased blood flow and that increased circulation to the lower body. So we're preventing blood clotting and we're reintroducing beneficial nutrients to help you heal. The other thing that compression shorts are good for especially when we're talking about running. Is when you run every time you make contact with the ground it causes a vibration up the kinetic chain up your leg. So that vibration can actually cause damage to the muscle fibers in your lower body especially your quadriceps, hamstrings and lower extremities. So what the compression does is it kind of it wraps around the leg and provides a bit of like think about a safety blanket. So it's not allowing for as much of that vibration of the muscle so therefore preventing some of the damage that's caused by excessive running or running over time.
