Hi, my name is Sarah Luna. And today we're going over how to improve core workouts. It's really important to improve your core workouts so that you get the tight waist and six-pack that you want. And so that you don't waste your time. So today I'm here at Equinox South Bay in the Pilates studio to give you four awesome tips for how to improve your core workout. The first tip is to breathe. We tend to hold our breath and then we don't engage in the core as much. So make sure that you're breathing in through the nose, exhale through the mouth using your diaphragm. And really pulling the core in from all directions with all of your ab workouts. The second one is to choose exercises that specifically target different parts of the core. So make sure that you get your transverse engaged. Your rectus abdominis. Make sure to engage your obliques so you get different muscle groups to work independently. The third tip is to engage your transverse addominis. This is your third deepest layer of core muscle. Very often it's neglected so it's really important that you engage that to deepen your core strength. The last tip I have for you is to try the pilates vacation special. That's five different core workouts that target all of those different muscles all in one steady flow and solid motion. So good luck with your core workouts and hope that they get better with these tips.
