Hey, everybody, I'm Chef Mareya, the Fit Foodie, and today I want to talk to you about how to eat healthy with seasonal food. Now there's nothing that I could think of that would be better to start your cooking experience than getting a box of fresh produce like this, delivered to your door by Melissa's, how great is that? Well I got my shipment today and I have got all of these delicious yummy fruits and vegetables. I've got carrots with the greens still on them which are great for juicing. I've got avocados, I've got lettuce, I've got garlic, sweet potatoes, kiwi, beautiful cabbage, apples, oranges and the great thing is is that when you eat with the seasons, you know that you are getting fresher produce with a better nutrient and vitamin content than if it is out of season and the taste, you don't have to mask the flavors with heavy dressings and other fatty ingredients that quite frankly you don't really need. So when you eat with the seasons and you change your palate up with spring, summer, winter and fall, you know you are getting the freshest that nature has to offer you, and I'm telling you, when you start your meal with a lot of fresh delicious produce, you will feel fuller longer. So all of that great fiber and just feeding your body at the cellular level you will feel that much more satisfied. So first place to start is by getting yourself a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables in season to eat very healthy and deliciously. I'm Chef Mareya the Fit Foodie.
