This is Jamie Glick. I'm here to talk about exercises to lose triceps fat. The back of the arm is a popular place for fat to accumulate and a popular place for us to want to get rid of that fat. So, we're going to show you ways to help that out. When exercising to lose triceps fat, you have to remember that triceps fat can be lost with cardio exercise, as well as weight training. More muscle in the area will increase your metabolism, which will burn more fat when you are resting. One thing you can do if your gym has this type of machine, this is called an Upper Body Ergometer, and you would, you can do this machine forward, you can do it backwards. If you're going forwards, you're going to use more triceps. If you go backwards, you're going to use more biceps. But overall, you'll still be doing a, a cardiovascular workout. Some basic tricep strengthening exercises that will ultimately help you burn more fat at rest, one is called the Chair Press-Up or the Chair Dip. You can do this one in your home or in your office with a chair that has arms and you would do two sets of 10. Another type of exercise is called the Supine Tricep Extension. For this one you need a small dumbbell. You're going to lie on your back, take the dumbbell, start out straight; use your other hand to hold onto your arm to keep it at the proper height and you're going to bend that elbow all the way down and then straighten it back up towards the ceiling. This you would do two sets of 10.
