Hi, I'm Samantha Clayton, and here's a great five minute workout for kids. Now as a mom of four I know a thing or two about keeping kids entertained, active and healthy. It's really important with kids that any exercise is just simply fun and requires them to use a little bit of coordination so that they can work on their balance. So here's a few simple moves that you should have them try. Start out with simple jumping jacks but break it up into three parts. Start out, have them just do the arms by themselves, then have them jump their legs out to the side, keeping their arms still. The third part of the move is to combine them two things together. This three step process will help the kids to gain a little bit of confidence and feel good as they progress. Move on to simple hopping move, hopping on one leg is great for working on their balance and great for burning off some excess energy. Then move on to a simple side step move and then turn that side step into a hop from side to side. Working on lateral movement with kids will really help them with playing sports. Finish off with some fast feet running feet and have them see how fast they can go.
