I'm Morris Brossette and this is how to explode off the line. Okay I'm going to show you one movement that I have used to help increase the explosion off the line in a sprint and that is I call it a static lunge into a jump. Okay when you are coming off the line in a sprint, when you are down in the blocks and my left leg is in front, my right leg is behind. When I come out of the block I'm going to drive through my left foot and I'm going to lift my right knee through my hip so I need to have the explosion and the drive through this front foot to push and lift simultaneously. So I'm going to do this by going from a static lunge and driving up with triple extension in this leg into a jump. Okay that's taking me from that static position into an explosive movement. So from the beginning position we need to be able to explode out of that. So by doing this one hold in the static lunge and then exploding into the jump, we are teaching the body to go from that crouched position into an explosive movement to help you explode off the line.
