Hello, I'm Ben Brown, and I'm going to show you how to hide a reverse punch. A lot of time when you are using this reverse punch from karate, it doesn't work against contemporary fighters because it's chambered way back, it's easy to see coming and it's easy to get countered. I'm going to show you a trick how to solve all that in one fell movement. Okay so when you are in this fight stance, again the mission is to take this punch and to put it there. There's a lot in the way so I'm going to start by taking my lead hand and tapping his lead hand. That's the first measure of control. Now as I start to pull it down my dominant hand is not just going to go for that punch, it's going to recontrol and what that allows is for my lead hand to roll back over for this punch. So the beginning of that looks like one, two, three. Now once that has happened this reverse punch is actually much easier to hit, nothing in the way.
