Homemade Hydrating Facial Mask

If your skin tends to be a bit on the dry side, raid your kitchen and stir up a hydrating facial mask made of natural ingredients that will leave your skin glowing with health. A mask containing yogurt is especially effective, as yogurt works as a deep cleanser that will rid your face of impurities, while the lactic acid moisturizes and softens the skin, says CareFare.com. Apply a hydrating facial mask once every week, and your skin will feel better than ever.

Step 1

Place 2 tbsp. of plain yogurt in a small mixing bowl. Use full-fat yogurt, as the fat in the yogurt will hydrate and moisturize the skin.

Step 2

Stir in 1 tbsp. honey and 2 tbsp. cooked oatmeal and the contents of 1 vitamin E capsule. Allow the oatmeal to cool before adding it to the facial mixture.

Step 3

Wash your face with warm water, and then remove the excess water from your skin with a soft towel. Smooth the hydrating facial mask on your damp skin and allow it to remain for 15 to 20 minutes.

Step 4

Rinse your face, and then pat your skin dry. Finish by applying your favorite moisturizer.
