Stronger hair means healthier hair with less damage and split ends. Hair is made of a hard protein called keratin. As hair grows it may become more brittle and weak, and this may be caused by sun damage, lack of vitamin B, as well as frequent brushing. A variety of homemade hair conditioners can be used to smooth the hair follicle and strengthen it. Ingredients are commonly found in most kitchens, and the conditioners are simple to make and use.
Step 1
Mix together 1 cup of mayonnaise and one avocado. Mash the ingredients until a minty green paste forms. Use your hands to apply mixtures to the hair. Place hair on the head and cover with saran wrap or plastic bath cap. Allow to sit for 20 minutes; longer for additional deep treatment.
Step 2
Add a few drops of rosemary essential oil in 1 tsp. of carrier oil, such as almond or olive oil. Slightly warm the oil in the microwave for five to 10 seconds. Massage the oil treatment into the hair. Massage scalp for several minutes to stimulate blood circulation. Focus applying the oil onto the ends of the hair. Wrap hair in plastic wrap or shower cap, and let sit for 20 minutes. Wrap a hot or warm towel to the head for additional heat and deep treatment.
Step 3
Crack open an egg and separate the egg yolk. Use a fork to whip the egg until frothy. Mix together with 1 tsp. baby oil and 1 cup water. Massage into hair and focus on the ends of the hair. Allow to set for 15 minutes. Only apply a fresh mixture to hair.
Step 4
Heat one can of beer over the stove until warm. Add 1 tsp. jojoba oil. Stir well until ingredients are mixed. Apply treatment over hair. Use a wide-toothed comb to distribute product throughout hair.
