On the Weight Watchers PointsPlus program, you eat what you want as long as you remain within your PointsPlus target range each day. The system assigns higher points to foods with fewer nutrients and lower points to nutrient-dense foods, which encourages healthier eating habits. You can have fast food once in a while and still remain within your PointsPlus target. Find out what options you have to choose from when dining at a fast-food restaurant.

Frugal Options

Salads are some of the most frugal options at fast-food restaurants. The following salads are five PointsPlus values each: Burger King's Tendergrill Chicken Garden Salad, McDonald's Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken and KFC's Roasted Chicken Caesar Salad, without dressing or croutons. If you're not in the mood for salad, the Del Taco Steak Taco Del Carbon and Taco Bell Soft Beef Taco are worth five points as well. Choices worth six points are the Boston Market one-fourth white meat rotisserie chicken without skin and the Wendy's Jr. Hamburger.

Moderate Choices

If you have seven points to spare, you can choose from the Dunkin' Donuts Egg White Turkey Sausage Flatbread Sandwich, five Burger King Chicken Tenders with one packet of barbecue dipping sauce, McDonald's Hamburger or Burger King Hamburger. The following options are eight points: Taco Bell Double Decker Taco, one slice of Little Caesar's Ultimate Supreme Pizza, Hardee's Regular Roast Beef Sandwich, Subway's 6-inch Roast Beef Sub and the Taco Bell Chicken Burrito Supreme fresco style, without cheese or sauce.

Higher Point Options

With nine points your options are Arby's Regular Roast Beef, Wendy's Ultimate Chicken Grill, Subway's 6-inch BLT, three Chick-Fil-A Chick-n-Strips, one slice of Pizza Hut's All Natural Pepperoni and Mushroom and one slice of Domino's Pizza Honolulu Hawaiian Deep Dish. With 10 points, you can choose from KFC's Tender Roast Chicken Sandwich without sauce, McDonald's Filet-O-Fish, Hardee's Low Carb Charbroiled Chicken Club Sandwich or one serving of Boston Market's skinless rotisserie turkey breast with fresh steamed vegetables and garlic dill new potatoes.

Point Splurges

Once in a while you may have extra points and want to splurge. Save these splurges for special occasions and make the appropriate adjustments to your diet for the rest of the day so you don't exceed your points target. These choices will cost you 11 points: one serving of Long John Silver's Breaded Clams with a Hushpuppy, McDonald's Hamburger plus a chocolate chip cookie and McDonald's Quarter Pounder. The Wendy's Classic Single Hamburger with everything is 12 points, and the Burger King Whopper without mayo is 14 points.
