Americans spend about $15 billion dollars per year on skin care products, according to CosmeticsDesign.com. This includes some $3 billion on facial firming creams and lotions designed to eliminate wrinkles and sagging skin. Although many people want to look younger, it is possible to make your own facial firming products for just a few pennies a treatment. In addition to saving money, you will be using natural ingredients without chemicals that could actually damage the skin.

Egg White

Step 1

Whip the egg white until it is fluffy.

Step 2

Using clean hands, slather the beaten egg white on your face and neck.

Step 3

Allow the egg white to dry (about 10 minutes).

Step 4

Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

Green Tea and Clay Powder

Step 1

This recipe is from PlanetGreen.com. Mix green tea or milk in 1 Tbsp. of water

Step 2

Gradually add two Tbsp. of clay powder (available at health food stores). Stir to break up the clumps and to form a paste. If the mixture is runny, add more clay powder. If it is too thick, add more water.

Step 2

Apply the mixture to your face using your fingers to massage the skin surface with upward circular motions.

Step 3

Let the mixture dry for 20 minutes before rinsing with warm water. Pat dry.

Glycerin

Step 1

This homemade treatment is from the National Honey Board. With a clean whisk, blend 1 tsp. of glycerin (available at drug stores), 1 Tbsp. of honey and one egg white. Add 1/4 cup of flour (or enough to make a paste).

Step 2

Apply the paste to your face and let it dry for about 10 minutes.

Step 3

Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
