Hi. I'm Shane Freels with LIVESTRONG.com. Today, we're going to show you several exercises for morning knee pain. A lot of what this comes down to is the fact that your body's just stiff from lying down all night. So you need to get up, you need to kind of get active but we don't want to put a lot of pressure on the body in the beginning phases of it. So one of the basic things that you can do is just sit on the side of your bed, sit at the end of your bed, sit in a chair, whatever it may be, and just kind of get that knee warmed up. And you just want of kind of just do some nice easy leg extensions as you're going through that active range of motion. I also like the fact that you can just take it and you can just pull that knee to your chest to just kind of get a little bit of flexibility. So you kick it out, pull it in, kick it out, pull it in nice and easy. You could also just do some good morning squats and just up and down, nice and easy. The biggest thing is just getting the body warm. I mean if it's morning knee pain, it's more the fact that your body's been stagnant for a period of time and you just gotta get those muscles activated again and get them loose so that they can start functioning like they're designed to. I'm Shane Freels, and we just showed you several good exercises for morning knee pain. Hope you utilize them. Have an amazing day.
