Hi, my name's John McQueen. Today I want to talk to you about how to prepare to play basketball. Number one, you want to come ready to play and compete. Basketball is a great game, a lot of times you're gonna play one-on-one, three-on-three, maybe even five-on-five. You want to come ready to compete. Also to prepare for basketball, you want to make sure that you spend time stretching and warming up. Stretching is extremely important, and this will not only allow you to have fun and play the game, but also to avoid the possibility of injury. Make sure you stretch your legs. Make sure you stretch your arms and your torso. Take about a good 10 to 15 minutes stretching prior to basketball, playing basketball, and I guarantee you're gonna enjoy the game much better. You also want to make sure you have the right equipment. Now the right equipment in basketball starts with a good pair of high top sneakers that are in good shape and they're tied and laced tightly. This is gonna give you great ankle support so again, you can avoid the possibility of injury, really be ready to make your cuts through your moves so that you can be competitive while playing basketball.
