Stomach disorders range in severity and can be either chronic or acute. Some causes of stomach disorders are known, but on a lot of occasions, there is no explanation. Regardless of the type or how severe, several signs and symptoms can appear when you have a stomach disorder.

Nausea
Nausea is characterized by a feeling in the stomach that you have to vomit. This is symptom of a stomach disorder called gastroparesis. With this condition, food gets emptied really slowly which can also cause an obstruction.
Burning
Burning stomach pain is a symptom of peptic ulcers. These are open sores that develop in the stomach walls and are caused by a bacteria. When ulcers become severe, they can also cause vomiting, bloody diarrhea and weight loss.
Hiatal Hernia
Hiatal hernias take place when the upper part of the stomach pushes through an opening between the stomach and esophagus. This causes symptoms such as chest pain, heartburn, belching and, in some instances, can cause difficulty swallowing and your esophagus can become obstructed. These symptoms can be exacerbated when you lean forward, lie down or lift heavy objects.
