Raw potato juice stimulates the digestive system, acts as a natural anti-inflammatory and is an alkaline food that may help restore the body's optimum pH balance. The juice has also been used to treat stomach ulcers and liver disorders. Drinking raw potato juice cleanses the liver and prevents and relieves constipation. Because raw potato juice can speed up digestion and replenish "friendly" bacteria in the colon, it may aid in weight loss. Incorporate potato juice into a healthy diet, by drinking it twice a day, every day for a two-week period.

Step 1

Choose potatoes with "eyes" that have live enzymes and could possibly sprout. They should be firm, with no black spots or green color, which could indicate toxicity. The fresher the vegetable, the higher the nutrient content.

Step 2

Juice the entire potato, skin and all -- the majority of the nutrients are in the skin. If you do not have a juicer, grate the entire potato and squeeze the juice out. You may see a white paste on the bottom of the glass after juicing, which is the starch and has little nutritional value. Don't drink it.

Step 3

Drink 100 to 150g of juice every morning when you wake up, at least 30 minutes before breakfast. Do not make the juice the night before, because freshness is important. If you don't care for the taste of the raw potato juice, add raw carrot juice or a small amount of honey, but watch out for added sugars, which may hinder your weight-loss efforts. Try lemon juice for flavor without added calories.

Step 4

Drink the same amount of freshly squeezed juice 30 minutes before dinner. Repeat this routine daily for two weeks. If it helps your weight-loss efforts, take a one-week break and then repeat the process for another two weeks.

Step 5

Eat lightly during these two weeks. Focus on adding more fruits and vegetables to your diet, and avoid processed foods high in sodium and refined sugars.
