Bronchospasm
The Mayo Clinic states that Advair can trigger bronchospasms (rapid constriction and dilation of your airway muscles) in its worst case scenario. Cough, difficulty breathing, wheezing and shortness of breath are some symptoms of bronchospasm. This is an emergency that warrants swift medical action.
Threatening Side Effects
Drugs.com states that certain symptoms can be pose threatening effects to your health. For instance, you may suffer from a fever, intense and sharp chest pain and an arrythmia (irregular heartbeat) or a fast heart beat called tachycardia. Your vision may be affected as you start to see halos around lights and experience blurry vision. A cough productive of yellow or green mucus or an exacerbation of your asthma symptoms are other life-threatening side effects of Advair use. Sometimes white sores or patches can form in the lining of your mouth or lips if you do not rinse out your mouth with water after inhaling Advair.
Osteoporosis
The Mayo Clinic states that Advair can predispose you to a condition of brittle bones called osteoporosis. Your bone density can become so low that fracturing your bones can occur with minimal trauma.
Benign Side Effects
Drugs.com states that less serious side effects include nausea, vomiting and a headache. Advair can affect your respiratory tract and cause dryness of your nose, throat or mouth. Sometimes, you may develop a sore throat, cough or nasal congestion.
Remaining Side Effects
The Mayo Clinic states that Advair can also cause black stools, eye pain and even blindness. Advair can affect your kidneys, and you may develop difficulty urinating. Sometimes urinating can be very painful. Advair can also provoke pain in your legs or arms and swelling of your throat, face or tongue.
