It may also help to repair some of the damage caused by free radicals in the body.
The herb is commonly used in Europe to treat Alzheimer's and dementia, but these effects have not been conclusively proven. Gingko biloba is generally considered a safe remedy, but it should not be taken by patients who are also taking blood thinners, those with epilepsy and pregnant or nursing women. Ginseng

It is also available in most health food stores.
Gotu kola can be hard on the liver and should not be used for more than six weeks without consulting a doctor. Those who suffer from liver disorders or diseases should not take this herb. Gotu kola is also not recommended for children.
