According to Beachbody.com, P90X Peak Performance Protein Bars are healthy, high-protein alternatives to junk food. The P90X bars are available in four flavors -- Chocolate Fudge, Café Mocha, Wildberry Yogurt and Chocolate Peanut Butter. Sold in a box of 12, you can choose either a box of only one flavor or a variety pack that includes three bars of each flavor.

Calories and Fat

The Café Mocha protein bar contains 270 calories, while the other three flavors each contain 260 calories per bar. The Café Mocha, Wildberry Yogurt and Chocolate Peanut Butter contain 7 g of fat, while the Chocolate Fudge bar has 8 g of fat per bar. The lowest in saturated fat is the Chocolate Peanut Butter bar, with 3 g of saturated fat per bar. The other three protein bars contain between 4 to 4.5 g of saturated fat. None of the bars contain any trans fat.

Protein and Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates and protein are important not only for muscle building, but also give the body energy. P90X protein bars are a good source of protein, with all flavors containing 20 g of protein per bar. The Chocolate Fudge and Chocolate Peanut Butter bars both contain 31 g of carbs. The Wildberry Yogurt bar contains 32 g of carbs, and the Café Mocha bar has 29 g of carbs. Based on a 2,000-calorie diet, one P90X protein bar provides approximately 10 percent of your daily carb requirements.

Vitamins and Minerals

P90X Peak Performance protein bars are fortified with vitamins and minerals. The values of some of the vitamins and minerals vary slightly between the flavors, but when eating a 2,000-calorie per day diet, each bar provides you at least 15 percent of the Daily Value of vitamins A, C, E, B6, B12 and iodine and 20 percent Daily Value of folate, zinc and copper. The Wildberry Yogurt and Chocolate Peanut Butter bars provide 25 percent Daily Value of iron, while the Chocolate Fudge and Café Mocha bars provide 30 percent.

Fiber

The P90X protein bars are low in fiber. The Chocolate Fudge and Café Mocha bars contain only 1 g of fiber per bar, and the Wildberry Yogurt and Chocolate Peanut Butter bars have no fiber at all.

Allergy Considerations

Ingredients vary with each flavor, but all four bars have soy and milk listed in their ingredients. Also, the bars are made in a plant that processes tree nuts, peanuts, dairy, wheat, eggs and soy.
