Very Low Protein Intake
In addition to being low in fat, fruits are also very low in protein. Like dietary fat, protein is an essential nutrient and is required for many bodily processes. Diet.com says that "protein should never be completely eliminated from the diet" and that low protein intake has a number of adverse effects. Risks of a low protein diet include inadequate intake of amino acids and iron.
