Discovering that our bread has gone stale happens to everyone. It really makes you mad when you just purchased it, but didn't realize there was a hole in the bag allowing it to become stale. Don't worry, as this can be remedied. Dampen a strip of paper towels, probably about 4, depending on how large your loaf of bread is. The paper towels should be damp and not soaking wet. Place the dampened loaf in loosely secured foil and place in the oven at a medium heat for just 3 to 4 minutes. Some people prefer to dampen the loaf with milk instead of water. This would work well for a sourdough or buttermilk-based loaf.
