The Healthrider SoftStrider is a low-impact treadmill designed to increase a person's cardiovascular performance. It differs from other treadmills because of its iFit.com compatibility, allowing people access to a virtual personal trainer.

The SoftStrider contains 10 built-in fitness programs, a heart rate monitor, speeds of 0 to 12 miles-per-hour (MPH), pulse sensors, an LED display console, power inclines of 0 to 10 percent and cooling fans. It is also iFIT.com compatible, which allows you to virtually connect with a personal trainer who motivates and instructs you while you use the treadmill.

The treadmill can be used to maximize how many calories are burned during a workout, increasing the caloric deficit--a factor that can cause weight loss. According to WorkoutWarehouse.com, you can also maximize your aerobic workout by adjusting the speed and incline.

The treadmill contains shock-absorbing treadbelts, which can reduce tension on the joints, ankles and knees. It can also safely accommodate weights of up to 330 pounds.
