Vigorous, passionate kissing burns calories. The amount of calories used depends on your current weight and the amount of time and energy you put into this activity.

Calories Burned

According to Diet Bites, a person weighing 120 lbs. likely burns an average of 14 calories for every 15-minute kiss, while someone at 160 lbs. burns 19 calories in the same time frame. A large adult at 250 lbs. should burn 30 calories during a 15-minute kissing workout.

Potential

Unless you are a marathon kisser and have some weight on you, it is unlikely this particular recreation, as appealing as it is, will produce much weight loss. DailyMuscle.com, however, says two 10-minute make-out sessions a day can lead to a 10-lb. weight loss in a year.

Contributing Factors

While strict calorie burning from kissing may not produce a significant drop in weight, the fact that no food is consumed during this type of exercise and the likelihood that you will experience an upswing in mood could influence results. With these two extraneous factors considered, it is possible to lose more than a little weight as you keep up the good work.
