How to Take Creatine Serum

Creatine is naturally produced in the kidneys, liver and pancreas and transported to the muscles via the bloodstream. Once in the muscles, creatine produces ATP, the muscles' primary source of energy. Creatine can be supplemented with creatine powders and serums. Some people prefer creatine serums due to their taste and ease of use, as many people find that creatine powders taste too chalky and require careful meal planning.

Consult your physician prior to using creatine serum or any other supplement.

Step 1

Fill the creatine serum dropper with 5 mL of serum.

Step 2

Administer the creatine serum under your tongue. Allow the serum to be absorbed into your body via your mucus membranes. Do not swallow the serum. Wait at least 10 minutes after administering the serum to eat or drink to fully allow your mucus membranes to absorb the serum.

Step 3

Take creatine serum regularly on days that you perform strength training exercises, which include weight lifting and calisthenics. Your muscles don't require creatine supplementation on days when strength training exercises are not performed, according to "Nutrition: Concepts and Controversies." If you cease supplementation on workout days, you risk losing the benefit of the creatine serum.
