New York strip steak is also rich in zinc and phosphorus, providing 37 and 25 percent of the DRI, respectively. Because women need significantly more iron than men, one 3 oz steak provides only 8 percent of the DRI for women.

Water-Soluble Vitamins

New York strip steak is rich in some B vitamins, with one 3 oz. steak providing over 35 percent of the DRI of both niacin and vitamin B6.
