JESSICA FLORES: Hello. My name is Jessica. I'm a licensed esthetician for the last two years. I'm here to talk to you today about how to apply makeup with a teen. These days we do not have to use the cream-base makeup. We have wonderful mineral makeup that is powder base. The tool for that would be the kabuki brush. You always make sure that you go round, circular motions and always be sure that you go down to the neckline to make sure that you do not look like you have on a mask. Also, with teenage skin is not always smooth, it's the time that we're having hormonal changes. A satin slip works wonderfully. It works as a primer, so you can put that on first and you will let that set up and then you would start in with your kabuki brush, being sure to go all the way down the neck. After you have applied your powder mineral makeup, you would always want to use a set. This is mineral mist but you could also use distilled water. This has special oils in it so that it will bind to your skin. Even distilled water, you mist and then you walk into it, so that it is even on your face. You let that dry. If you're in a hurry, you could always use a blow dryer or a fan. You let that dry and then you apply your shadow and always be sure to comb your eyebrows. If you comb them now, whenever you get older they will not look flyaway, so it's very important to do that. And whenever you set your last, you use your powder brush to get rid of your oil and then you would be good for the day.
