How to Lose 6 Pounds in 2 Weeks

There are several ways to lose six pounds in two weeks. Whether you are scrambling to met a goal for a special occasion or to keep six pounds off forever, choose a method that works for you. Losing six pounds in two weeks can be painful, daunting, or really expensive. Keep your end results in mind and stick to the plan you choose.

Diet and Exercise

For example, walk two minutes and jog one minute, jog one minute and sprint 30 seconds, or walk at a zero-incline for two minutes and a four-incline for two minutes. By constantly changing your cardio speed, you raise and lower your heart rate. This aides in more weight loss as opposed to staying at the same speed the entire time.

Sweating releases water weight. Invest in a plastic sweat suit, often sold in sporting goods stores, and wear it while you work out. It is possible to lose six pounds or more of water weight in one day. If you cannot afford a plastic suit, wear heavy clothing such as a sweat shirt and pants instead.

You can also try sitting in a sauna to help release excess water. Do not stay in the sauna for long periods of time, and never go in without letting someone know first.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that removes fat from under the skin using a stainless steel tube attached to a powerful vacuum. Although this method can be very expensive, you can lose six pounds or more in less than two weeks. Results are immediate and usually improve over time.

Fasting or cleansing can rid six or more pounds of waste from your body within two weeks. No matter what method of cleansing you choose -- juice fast, herbal cleanse, detox diet -- the objective is to rid the intestines of fecal matter that has built up over time.

A colonic falls into this category and can rid the body of six pounds also. This procedure involves injecting a fluid into the rectum to irrigate and cleanse the colon. See your primary physician prior to choosing this method. You may be advised against this procedure due to health conditions.

Staying in the sauna too long can be dangerous. If you feel light headed or nauseous, remove yourself immediately.

Colonics may cause you to feel dizzy or light-headed for hours after the procedure. Have someone drive you there and take you home for safety.
