Put the ingredients for each layer into separate containers, and then simply rinse your immersion blender in between. While the possibilities are endless, here are seven ideas to inspire the smoothie-lover in you.

7 GALAXY LAYERED SMOOTHIE

This fun, triple-layered smoothie combines the colors and flavors of the galaxy. If you want more of a swirling galaxy effect, simply take a straw and pull the top colors towards the bottom. If you want clean layers, be sure to put the heavier yellow layer on the bottom of the glass (it could sink right through the purple layer if you try to put it on top). Any yogurt will work, but each has a slightly different consistency. You’ll want to adjust the water to achieve your desired thickness.
