The Learning Camp

Designed to improve the self esteem and confidence of children with attention deficit disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, The Learning Camp was started by a mother of a child who suffered from ADHD and dyslexia. Counselors know how to interact with children who have learning disabilities, and children find out that there are others just like them. While at the pristine grounds in Vail Valley, Colorado, children with learning disabilities gain the confidence found through the social experiences they may not have had at home. A program that focuses on ability over disability builds self esteem and social skills.

Camp Xtreme

Geared toward children with physical disabilities, Camp Xtreme plans exciting activities no matter what the level of ability. Instead of allowing a disabled child to opt out of participation, Camp Xtreme chooses exciting activities, including white water rafting, SCUBA diving, basketball and a variety of other experiences for kids who may have not had the chance to participate in other circumstances. Found in Houston, Camp Xtreme encourages participants in wheelchairs and with other physical disabilities to try new things and learn new skills to increase self esteem and confidence throughout the summer.
