Is that a coffee or dessert? Some of these popular coffee drinks are so padded with major fat and calories, it's hard to tell. LIVESTRONG.COM’s annual list of the worst coffee drinks takes a look at the amount of calories per ounce in a drink. This year, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf makes its first appearance with its Ice Blended drinks. Surprisingly, Starbucks’ most calorific drink is not its famously fattening Frappucino but rather with its White Chocolate Mocha served hot. Read one to see what the 12 worst drinks are (and which two tied for #9!)

#11: COFFEE BEAN AND TEA LEAF ICE BLENDED CARAMEL FLAVOR

With the caramel flavor maxing out at 32 calories per ounce, the Ice Blended drinks at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf are its highest calorie offerings. A 24-ounce drink contains 770 calories, including a 150 calories from fat and 125 grams of sugar. You’d be safer with the mocha flavor at 530 calories for 24 ounces.

Seeming more like a milkshake than a cup of joe, the 24-ounce Large Jamocha Shake contains 820 calories (34 per ounce), 200 of them from fat, 22 grams of fat and 127 grams of sugar. The good news? By ordering a small you’ll save 380 calories and 59 grams of sugar.

You may feel virtuous as you bypass the croissants and cakes and head directly to the coffee counter. But if you opt for a 16-ounce Frozen Caramel Latte at Au Bon Pain, it will set you back 600 calories (37.5 per ounce), 20 grams of fat and 91 grams of sugar.

Those with a sweet tooth may want to think twice before ordering the 16-ounce Frozen Caramel. The reason? Containing 600 calories (37.5 per ounce), 24 grams of fat and 66 grams of sugar, it’s Panera’s most caloric coffee drink, and though it doesn’t sound like java, it does contain 100 percent Arabic coffee extract.

One of the few drinks on this list served hot, the White Chocolate Mocha should really only be ordered on special occasions. This is no regular morning pick-me-up. A tall size at 8 ounces contains 310 calories, according to Starbucks. It contains an impressive 38.8 calories per ounce -- and that’s using 2 percent milk and without the whip cream.

Of its three flavors -- coffee, caramel and mocha -- the caramel version takes the cake batter. The Like It size (12 ounces) contains 39.2 calories per ounce, 20 grams of fat and 59 of sugar.

At 43.3 calories per ounce, it’s McCafe’s most caloric drink, also containing 66 grams of sugar and 200 calories from fat.

Don’t be fooled by the Sugar-Free Caramelatte XL With Half & Half. The 20-ounce version contains 868 calories (43.4 per ounce), 465 calories from fat and 39 grams of sugar. A better choice? The fat-free version. It contains just 388 calories.
