Great race today Lance,but like Eddy said the one who was going to beat Cancellara today would have won the tour.Well you would have done that in the 2005!!

I went cycling in Europe in the early 80's on the most beautiful 'alan' bike with campy equip. We rode miles and miles out of the way on cobblestones in torrential rain to see Eddy's shop. It was closed!! dreams dashed. Eddy still looks like a champ! salut!

Thank you Lance for sharing those special moments with us. Glad to see that you have such a good understanding with him. Nice area there around in Monaco. I wished I could also be there but could never afford to come there or live there. Must be the most expensive place in the world. I wished I was also a reporter and could stay there in good holtels, watch you and the others in nice weather talk to only nice people around that are all only cyclingfans and mostly very friendly, seldom aggressive, not like in football. Hi Lance, thanks for being (t)here. My boys (14,13 & 9) were thrilled by your performance today. "Yes, yes, yes!" they shouted when you were on top after your TT. Eddy is not only a nice guy, he's got an eye for winners as well;). Cancellara's the man to beat today: indeed he was... Keep up the good work and live strong!

Great to see 2 legends of cycling together like that. Eddie just seems so cool and a real nice man. Good to see how he supports Lance unlike some other past champions.

Eddy M won over a mind-boggling 500 bike races-amateur and pro combined!
Most pros are lucky to even ENTER that many races.
Merckx didn't need any fancy tactics, $10,000 carbon bikes- he just rode guys off his wheel at the get go.

Two of the best riders the world has ever seen, Eddy is just a legend, no one will ever see one man win so many big classic races, and Lance for winning the TDF seven times, on top of being an inspiration to so many people. The both of them have never taken for granted the team around them. Really nice to see them together.
