Health Benefits

Zinfandel calories come with benefits. Both white and red wine contain alcohol and non-alcoholic phytochemicals that, when consumed in moderation, can reduce the risk of certain cancers and heart disease and can slow the progression of neurological degenerative disorders, such as Parkinson's Disease and Alzheimer's, reports Today Health.

If you consume too much wine, you lose the health benefits and exposed yourself to varied health risks, such as weight gain and elevated triglycerides. Today Health recommends no more than 10 oz. per day for men and 5 oz. per day for women.
