Plasil is the international trade name for medications based on the generic compound metoclopramide, which is marketed in the United States under the brand names Reglan and Metozolv ODT, according to The medication is targeted at diabetes patients who are having problems with their digestive activities and individuals who have heartburn caused by gastroesophageal reflux disease. Drowsiness and Fatigue

The symptoms of tardive dyskinesia are muscle ticks and contractions in the face that patients will be unable to control, such as lip smacking, puckering of the mouth, sticking out the tongue and blinking. MedlinePlus notes that elderly and female patients are more likely to develop tardive dyskinesia than other users. To avoid this side effect, notes that it is not recommended to take the medication for more than 12 weeks at a time.
