With its beautiful subtropical setting, first-rate beaches, world-class dining and unique attractions, the city has plenty of romantic spots and activities for couples to enjoy.

Eat Out at a Romantic Restaurant

Miami is full of fine dining choices, especially exotic ethnic restaurants, many of which offer the perfect romantic backdrop for a dinner with your sweetheart. Go out for some sumptuous Mediterranean food at the swanky Viceroy Miami, enjoy the healthy dishes in the soft lighting at Escopazzo on Miami Beach or treat yourself to the East-West fusion fare at the upscale Setai. Visit Vizcaya

The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, a National Historic Landmark located in Miami, is a site of a staggering beauty and is open to visitors 364 days out of the year. The estate consists of 10 acres of formal-style gardens, beautiful sculpture and architecture, a forest with subtropical flora and the stunning Main House, making it one of the most romantic spots in Miami.

According to the website MiamiandBeaches, the beaches of Miami have been celebrated as being among the top by the Travel Channel, "USA Today" and the Surfrider Foundation (a nonprofit environmental organization). There are over a dozen beaches in the greater Miami area, some of which make great romantic spots. Matheson Hammock Park Beach in south Miami, which was rated the "Best Scenic Beach" by Frommers.com, has a private, tranquil feel. Virginia Key Beach on Key Biscayne was voted the "Best Beach for Seclusion" by Frommers.com, making it ideal for couples.

The Venetian Pool

A historic and unique public swimming pool, the Venetian Pool was built in 1924 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Located in the upscale Miami neighborhood of Coral Gables, the pool has striking features including Spanish porticos, fountains and waterfalls, making it an original and romantic setting.
