Dry skin on your nose can result from a variety of causes. The cosmetics and soaps you use can make skin dry, and the aging process can cause skin to become dry because the sebaceous glands become sluggish with age. Treat dry skin on your nose the way you would treat it on any other area of the face.

Step 1

Wash your nose with a moisturizing cleanser. Use one that contains ingredients such as rose and olive oils. Wet skin before applying the cleanser, and then rinse all traces of the cleanser from your nose thoroughly and let air-dry. Wipe your nose with a cotton pad moistened with an alcohol-free hydrating toner.

Step 2

Spread a moisturizing cream on your nose while it is almost but not completely dry. Choose a moisturizing cream that contains skin-nourishing ingredients such as rose oil, avocado oil, olive oil or a blend of these oils. Apply the moisturizing cream to your nose not only after washing it, but whenever your skin feels tight or dry.

Step 3

Apply a moisturizing mask once or twice a week to gently exfoliate and moisturize. Spread the mask all over your nose and leave it on for the time indicated on the label, and then thoroughly rinse the mask off your skin.

Step 4

Drink water. Water consumption is important, as water hydrates skin. Avoid dry environments to help keep your skin better hydrated.

Step 5

Apply an alcohol-free sunscreen to your nose -- and to all exposed areas of skin, for that matter. Dab some sunscreen on before you go outside and reapply it often if you'll be out in the sun for any length of time.
