There have been no shortage of Internet trends over the past couple years, like TikTok dances and homemade banana bread recipes. But one fad I'm happy is here to stay: Matching workout sets.
My closet is loaded with matching sets from Alo, Nike and Lululemon. What can I say? A matching top and bottom just makes me feel put together and ready for a training session — even when I'm just reading on the couch.

For the past few months, I can't stop wearing the shorts and hoodie from Alphalete's Very Terry collection. But let's be honest, my perspective is a smidge biased because I love a cohesive outfit (and clothing in general).
But you don't have to take my word for it. My minimalist, function-first, no-nonsense, flannel-and-hat-wearing boyfriend has the matching men's version and can't stop wearing his pieces either.

Features and Functionality
I'm a huge fan of mixing and matching, which is why I love the variety and inclusivity in Alphalete's collection. You can get shorts, sweatpants, hoodies, cropped long sleeves and tanks all in the same fabric. So, you can mix and match cuts, styles and colors, depending on your taste and preference.
I'm also a huge fan of the inclusive sizing. All these pieces come in XXS to XXXL, and they're built for athletic bodies — a must for me and my guy. Usually, I struggle to find tops that fit my small cup size and wide back (thank-you, pull-ups). But the relaxed fit is no issue. And I love that the women's shorts give full booty coverage and come up a little higher on the sides for extra ventilation.
My significant other, who definitely doesn't skip leg day, loves (and needs) the relaxed, roomier fit around his quads and glutes, too. Plus, the 7-inch inseam is a good length for his gym sessions and bike rides.
Another thing I love about Alphelete's Very Terry sets: They're functional. Although the fabric probably isn't ideal for super-sweaty workouts, it's excellent for lifting, long walks and Pilates classes. And let's not forget, coffee dates or movie nights on the couch.
Even down to the details, we're more than satisfied. The shorts have a thick, comfortable waistband that gives enough compression without restricting movement. And the sweatshirts have a wider neck hole for easy on and off when workouts get intense.
